Massage Gold Coast Speaks: Massage under the microscope
Massage stimulates the nervous system through nerve endings in the skin, promoting the release of endorphins, the body's natural 'feel good' chemicals, which induce relaxation and a sense of well-being, to relieve pain and reduce levels of stress chemicals. It helps reverse the damaging effects of stress and soothe the soul.

Massage Gold Coast Speaks: When Do You Need Internal Cleansing?
In this modern, toxic world it's becoming a simple fact of life that our colon (the sewer system' of the body), liver and other organs also require regular cleaning. Just like a car requires an oil change periodically. You shower, brush
your teeth and wash your hair on a regular basis, but do you clean yourself inside?

Gold Coast Massage Therapist speaks: Detoxifying the Body takes 30 days to complete!
Here are the Dos and Donts of What is on the Diet. (consult a doctor before attempting the following)
1.Water- fat people are dehydrated. Drink one half to one gallon daily of filtered
water. Never drink tap water as its loaded with chlorine and fluoride.
2.Walk one hour per day. This is perhaps the most difficult step of phase one
but will provide the most profound long-term lasting effects. Any amount of
walking, however will help reset your bodys weight point to what it should be.
3.Extra Virgin Raw Coconut Oil-use this for cooking. It stimulates metabolism.
4.Colonics-colon cleansing alone helps people lose weight! See a certified
colon hydrotherapist.
5.Apples-2 organic apples every day help regulate blood sugar and reduce
appetite.
6.Grapefruit- 2 organic grapefruit daily. They release an enzyme thats a proven
fat burner.
7.Eliminate or reduce candida. This is a major cause of constipation and food
cravings. Try the product ThreeLac
8.Take whole food supplements, digestive enzymes and probiotics.
Phase 1: Detoxifying the Body takes 30 days to complete!
Here are the Dos and Donts of What is on the Diet.
9. Drink green tea and/or yerba mate tea daily.
10. Do a heavy metal cleanse and a liver cleanse.
11. No trans-fats, high fructose corn syrup, MSG or artificial sweeteners.
12. Eat a salad loaded with organic vegetables with your lunch and dinner in
addition to whatever you eat. This will help stimulate digestion and reset the
bodys weight point.
13. No fast food. No nitrites or farm-raised fish.
14. Eat cinnamon and hot peppers.
15. Limit carbonated drinks and ice cold drinks. Drinking beverages that are
very cold actually slow digestion and increase hunger.
16. Exercise with a rebounder (mini trampoline), do yoga and get massage. Lift weights.
17.Limit all drugs, whether prescription or over the counter. You may need to
seek medical advice to do this.
Though the list may seem overwhelming, doing any of these things in whatever
amount helps speed the weight loss process and reduce hunger.

Gold Coast Massage Therapist speaks: Lunchtime Reflections . . .
Wisdom is . . . all about understanding the underlying spacious and empty quality of the person and of all experienced phenomena.
To attain this quality of deep insight, we must have a mind that is quiet and malleable.
Achieving such a state of mind requires that we first develop the ability to regulate our body and speech so as to cause no conflict.

Gold Coast Massage Therapist Speaks:
There are many benefits when having a massage.. not only physically but mentally and emotionally too!!! on the physical level the massage therapist can assist with milking the tissues consequently flushing out toxins whilst invigorating the body, increasing blood flow and tone throughout the body... massage can help release tight stiff muscles and also assist in toning slack hyper mobile muscles and joints through mobilization and myo-fascial techniques..
In relation to the mental aspect of participating in a Massage session,of course with a competent therapist.. can work the muscles which in turn stimulate the nervous system of the body via the sensory and motor nervous systems hence affecting the brain and stimulating the feel good chemicals in the body which have many ripple affects mentally..
the Mind Body link is quite a common topic nowadays and there are many modalities that specialize in this field of therapy.. one could say that there is a proven connection between the mind and body and how trauma and tension is stored throughout the body.. so how does this relate to Massage? well when working a particular muscle in the body this could quite possibly trigger an emotion or a memory that has been stored many many years ago and hence inducing an emotional experience.. i have seen it myself where I have massaged someone in a corporate session just my gently massaging their hands and shoulders and the woman who obviously cannot name burst into tears and proceeded to tell me a personal story involving her son.. this left a long lasting impression on me and validated the power of touch and what it can do..

What is posterior rotator cuff pain caused by?
Weak teres minor muscles and Infraspinatus.. as you throw
the ball you have to contract the above muscles.. which can
cause tears..
You can treat side lying or on the stomach.. access the
fibres in the teres minor.. lengthening.. then moving to
the infrapsinatus.. hold then wait for a release... always
work the muscle belly and insertions to create length...
Then you need to sli under the posterior deltoid to access
the insertions of the Teres Minor and Infrapsinatus and use
cross fibre frictions with fingers...
you can move on to the greater tubercle by the biceptal
groove and continue to friction with fingers.. and always
do stretches to align the fibres after working the
muscles..

Shoulder Pain? Frozen Shoulder?
More commonly the specifics pertaining to Shoulder pain is posterior rotator cuff pain. What is Posterior rotator cuff pain caused by?
Well always with any Muscular-Skeletal complaint there could be numerous causes as to why and what has happened to end with a ache in the body... But more commonly than not a Weak teres minor and Infraspinatus muscles are the main culprits.. A good example is when one throw's a tennis ball the body fires the Teres Minor and Infraspinatus ,which can
cause tears in the posterior rotator cuff.. but this is not the only reason of course just a example.. So how can one me helped if they are to be found is this predicament.. firstly consult your GP, and consequently a reputable Body Worker..
Posterior Rotator cuff complaints can be treated side lying or on the stomach.. To access the
fibres in the teres minor.. Creating length.. then moving to
the infrapsinatus.. holding sustained pressure then waiting for a release... The Therapists needs to ensure that the muscle belly and insertions are worked consistently to create length and function.
Once can slip under the posterior deltoid to access the insertions of the Teres Minor and Infrapsinatus and use cross fibre frictions with the tips of the fingers...
From here one can move on to the greater tubercle next to the biceptal
groove and continue to friction with fingers..
And always finish with stretches to align the fibres after working the
muscles..Another tip www.mobilemassageservices.com.au

What is the power of the Smooth groove? This is the Lamina
groove the tract next to the spine.. the oldest intrinsic
part of our bodies..Phylogenic.. the Deepest muscles, the
multifidus,Rotartories,inter-costalis... if one can relax
these deep muscles.. one can greatly improve the health of
the spine.. joints, joint capsules.spinus processes,
vertebraes etc..through running down the spine toward the
sacrume with deep strokes using the forearm or elbow once
facilitates the joints of the spine to close back on to each
other.. greatly improving forward head posture and dowagers
hump.. hence reducing neck pain, shoulder pain and kyphotic
conditions..this technique was popularized my Dr Ida Rolf
back in the 70's and 80's.. and is a remarkable technique to
restore normal curvature of the spine.. greatly improving
scoliosis, kyphosis and lordosis of the spine..

Massage Gold Coast Speaks about Qigong and Consciousness:
Qigong and Consciousness is largely mis-understood or not known at all. Typicall Qigong that is practiced is the
west utilizes Breath and Movement such as; breathing in the nose directing the breath into the dantian area of
the stomach and breathing out the mouth thus beginning the initial development for the micro-cosmic orbit,
building chi through breath work and co-ordinated movement is just one part of the practice of qigong, mind
activity and consciousness are the neglected part that most western practitioners don't actively cultivate.
The most common version of the mind activity based qigong is moving the chi inside the body along the energy path
ways namely the meridians hence the Micro-Cosmic Orbit. This method popularized by many is often dependant on
the practitioner and takes a very long time to cultivate chi.
There are alternatives that build chi quicker and can cause stronger reactions, such methods namely practiced by
Zhineng Qigong practitioners worldwide can testify to this.
Zhineng Qigong was founded by Ming Pang in China and quickly became very popular, Ming Pang has a very extensive
background in many forms of Qigong and has distilled his knowledge and experience into organizing the Zhineng
Qigong System.
One of the many Zhineng Qigong exercize that utilizes Mind activity and Consciousness is Pulling Qi. Pulling Qi
can be performed sitting, standing or lying down. The method consists of holding a chi ball and gently pulling
out from the elbows 6 inches or so and then gently moving the hands back together. As one repeats this movement
the mind or consciousness is utilized, as the hands open the mind opens, as the hands close the mind closes an
example of this is when the hands open one thinks of the universe, stars, moon, planets, oceans, forests, inside
the earth. When closes their hands the they think deep inside the body, the blood vessels, organs, brain,
nervous system.
What does this do? When one thinks of the universe they are expanding there chi out and simultaneously the
universal chi is being drawn or magenitized to the individual. When one focus their mind inside the body chi is
being pulled from the universe into the body, hence nourishing the qi of the body and merging the chi of the
person and the chi of the universe.
